Naiad Preschool is a new preschool and daycare opening in Green Lake, Seattle in 2026, founded by Sophie Beck—a Seattle-born teacher, artist, and musician with more than six years of preschool classroom experience. Built around a deep belief in early childhood education, Naiad Preschool offers a warm, thoughtful space where children can grow through empathy, creativity, and independence.
What makes Naiad Preschool special is the intentionally personal experience it creates for both kids and families. The curriculum is designed week by week, adapting to children’s real interests and developmental needs instead of relying on generic, pre-written plans. The space encourages safe exploration and creative play, and families are welcomed into a community feel—complete with simple touches like a free latte at drop-off and neighborhood events that help parents connect with one another.
Looking ahead, Naiad Preschool hopes to expand capacity in the near future and continue building a supportive, connected community for families in Seattle.
