LANABAG is a women-owned brand in Tacoma, Washington, creating handmade crochet handbags and fashion accessories with a modern, cozy feel. Founded in 2024 by Lana Altukhova, the business grew from a love of timeless craftsmanship—and a creative practice that became especially meaningful after her move from Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine to the U.S.
What makes LANABAG special is that every piece is made by hand from start to finish, with careful attention to details, quality materials, and thoughtful design. Many bags include natural fibers and leather accents, and customers can also request custom orders—sharing an idea or inspiration and working toward a bag that fits their personal style. LANABAG has also been showcased at the Toloka – Ukrainian Cultural Center, reflecting the brand’s strong connection to community and culture.
Looking ahead, LANABAG plans to expand online, collaborate with boutiques, and take part in larger markets and craft fairs—while also building a creative space where women can connect, crochet together, and inspire one another. We’ve had the honor of getting to know the owner and collaborating through our small business network. Stay connected with LANABAG on Instagram and Facebook for the latest designs and updates. Orders can be placed directly through Instagram, where you’ll find unique, handcrafted accessories made with care. Her Etsy shop is coming soon—stay tuned for more ways to shop!
